Though the spark of our relationship ignited in 2020, the embers of our friendship began to glow back in 2017. We were two college students brought together by the world of Greek Life. Since the day we met by the bonfire during Greek Week, our paths always found a way to cross. Either through mutual friend, social events, or nights out on the town, we always found ourselves gravitating towards each other. We were two friends from two rival towns who found it easy to talk and laugh with each other. Still, we would watch each other live our lives from a distance never considering the possibility of becoming something more.

Then one fateful day in 2020, someone decided to push the envelope on our friendship and show the other "what its like to go on a real date." It was during the height of COVID, and the only place open during this chaotic time was Tommy's On Thomas. True to our nature, we decided to take advantage of the drink special they were having on "all" of their beers. Turns out the only beer available was Dos Equis. Neither of us have ever had the beer before, but that didn't deter us from giving it a try. We enjoyed drinking it together so much that we decided from that day forward we would only drink Dos Equis together.

Many more dates were had at the La Carretas in Hammond that then progressed to nights out with friends that then snowballed into establishing ourselves as a couple. To this day, we have always stayed true to the foundations of our relationship: Friendship. We are each other's friend first. Always supporting each through the peaks and valleys of each others lives. We stood by each other through college, graduation, our first jobs, our first home, and now we have decided to stand by each other throughout the rest of life's milestones as husband and wife.
