Phones and Internet

Guests can stay connected easily with free Wi-Fi available in most hotels, cafes, and tourist spots, or by renting a portable Wi-Fi device.

Local SIM cards from Telkomsel, XL Axiata, and Indosat are available at the airport and local shops, offering data plans between IDR 100,000 to IDR 300,000 (AUD 10 to AUD 30). eSIMs are also a convenient option for compatible devices.

Check with your Australian telecom provider about international roaming plans for potentially cost-effective options.

Remember to bring your passport for SIM registration and consider using a VPN for secure browsing while avoiding public Wi-Fi for sensitive transactions.
