Though we have known each other since childhood, our story really began the summer before senior year when we began dating. Pictured here is our senior year homecoming, just a few months after we began dating.

Senior year prom. We had such a good time we decided to hire the same DJ for our wedding! A month later, we were able to celebrate graduating high school together.

In 2017-2018, we were faced with the challenge of being long-distance while Madison attended university in Bloomington, IL. We learned the importance of communication and intentionality in our relationship and always looked forwards to breaks from classes to see each other.

In her sophomore year of college, Madison moved out of the dorms and into student apartments, which meant that Hunter was able to come visit her more often. We remember being thankful for the increased time together while Madison dealt with stress from school and Hunter transitioned into his career.

To celebrate our four year anniversary, we took our first trip together without family or friends and enjoyed a romantic weekend at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan.

Madison graduated college in May of 2021 and the long-distance period officially ended!! The celebrations were two-fold, as we felt thankful for making it through together and so ready to tackle our future together.

Graduation through 2022 was a year of growth as a couple and individually: we moved in together; started our careers in Madison, WI.

As we attended more and more of our friends' weddings, we began to consider our future marriage as well.

After months of carefully picking the ring and trying to surprise Madison, Hunter asked her to marry him. Our wedding venue overlooks the same river pictured here, a place we have shared so many special memories.
