One night, a video popped up on her 'For You' page—a guy in his NWUs from Alabama living in Lemoore, California, who had a silly video with a grin that made her smile. She hit “like” without thinking, and that was it—until he followed her back and slid into her DMs with a simple, “You're so darn beautiful, Darling.”

That simple comment turned into hours of FaceTimes, text messages that never seemed to end, and a connection that neither of them saw coming. They lived states apart, with wildly different lives—she was juggling exams and hospital rotations, and he was on 24 to 48 hour night shifts, and sometimes unreachable depending on his schedule.
