We met at Woodland Middle School! Madison was quick to change things up, buying new furniture and trying new things, and DJ was quick to lend a helping hand, fixing what she broke (which was rare...)

Our first offical date to Opryland, during which we held hands for the first time, and Madison was over the moon! Dinner under in the Cascades with twinkling lights was the start of our magical adventure together.

Our first visit to Cheekwood! This became one of our favorite places to enjoy food trucks, explore nature, and listen to music under the stars.

Celebrated Christmas and the start of a new year together for the first time! Discovered that Zooluminations was one of our favorite events of the season, where we could walk, talk, and enjoy twinkling lights

Madison celebrated her first birthday with DJ in her favorite place on earth, and dragged DJ along with her. It was our first trip to Disney together, and it wouldn't be the last!

Celebrated our first anniversary by walking around downtown Franklin, sharing memories and gifts in the place where we had our first kiss.

Spent fall break visiting DJ's childhood hometown, St. Louis. We went to museums, the Arch, zoos, and feed goats (which Madison discovered terrified her).

Spent (almost) Valentine's Day in the most magical place on earth! After this trip, DJ was starting to think maybe Disney with this girl isn't so bad.

DJ proposed just in time to fulfill his promise of "before the end of the year." Madison lost her mind and went into shock, couldn't stop smiling, and kept saying "this is CRAZY" all night long.

With a wedding in only a matter of months, we decided to make our lives even crazier and buy (and renovate) a house. We are so excited to have this place to start this journey together!
