Our Wedding

Some say nothing good happens after midnight, but for us, it was just the beginning.On August 17, 2024, fate (and maybe a little liquid courage) brought us together at Brickyard in Wichita, KS. It was late—minutes before last call—when Devin, fresh from a concert, found himself at the bar. Meanwhile, Maddie and her friends, wrapping up a girls’ night at Mort’s (martinis with Maddie, of course), decided on one last round. As luck would have it, we ended up ordering shots right next to each other. Devin seized the moment, offering to buy the drinks as an excuse to introduce himself.Our conversation was short but sweet—Maddie’s Uber was already on its way—but something about that brief encounter felt different. Taking a chance, we exchanged numbers, and just a few days later, we went on our first official date.Both of us jokingly called it a blind date since our first meeting was so quick. Devin jokes that all he remembers from that first encounter was Maddie’s gorgeous smile, a classic meet-cute. That first date, however, was anything but brief—we went from Piattos to Hopping Gnome to (of course) Mort’s, talking and laughing well past midnight. And from that night on, time together has never felt long enough.From pickleball matches to golf outings, bar hopping to cozy nights in, watching sports to puzzling or reading together, every second has been an adventure.Now, we can’t wait to spend forever together. And who knows—maybe one day, we’ll start getting home at a reasonable hour. But for now, we’ll keep proving that, every once in a while, something good really can happen after midnight.

Our Story

Maria is my younger sister and is someone you always want to be around. Her sense of humor and determination to get things done is inspiring. She may be younger than me but she is someone I look up to in life. While we have had our fair share of disagreements, I know I can always count on her. 

Maria Hilliker

Currently a VP of Finance for a big hotel company in Chicago but I knew him back when he was small potatoes giving speeches at college competitions for Students in Free Enterprise or SIFE as we knew it.  He was named All-conference for defense in college Soccer and was my doubles partner in college Tennis.

Lance Williams

Mallory is my older sister. We had a rough history growing up and didn't really get along until high school. Since then, she is always helping me be a better version of myself. From sharing healthy recipes to recommending great books, Mallory always has the perfect advice for me. She also has said that I am the best roommate she has ever had, hopefully Devin will agree. 

Mallory Klenda 

Another friend from Southwestern College and member of the men’s soccer team.  He is a diehard Lionel Messi and Barcelona fan.  We have bonded over a mutual interest and passion for soccer.  Attending many MLS games over the years as well as watching Champions League games rooting for our teams.  

Amado Rodriguez

Megan is my oldest sister and has always been a role model for me. She is setting the example for how to be a wife, mom, catholic, and all while going back to school! She is getting her law degree at UT and also recently became a Commander in the National Guard! Once again proving to me that she is always someone I can look up to and aspire to be like.

My younger brother who has morphed before my eyes from a teenager to a fraternity member to a family man and father of four(for now).  His family consists of his lovely wife Callie and his three children Elowyn, Huxley, and Irelyn. (One on the way)

Ivan Seward

Lauren is one of many Iseman cousins. She doesn't have any sisters of her own so we consider her to be more of a sister in our family. Growing up she would visit Wichita on many occasions and watch Maddie and her sisters get into many fights, but as we got older we got closer and now when we fight, Lauren jumps right in. Lauren is my go to for pop-culture references and ANYTHING Taylor Swift related.

Clint has the best sense of humor.  Whenever we hang out together nonstop laughing ensues.  We met in college and have since spent many years playing indoor soccer together in Wichita.  Reasons for Maddie to like him:  He’s a west sider, devout catholic, and Bishop Carroll alumnus.  Clint checks all of the boxes.  

Clint Kissling

Hannah owes all her happiness to me. We were competitors in high school golf then coaches together after college. It was then that Hannah met my cousin, Max and gave him a chance after I convinced her to. I was so thrilled when Hannah went from my friend to now family. Devin and I look forward to many years of golfing with both Hannah and Max.  

Hannah Iseman

One of the most genuine and down to earth people I know.  He is a world class marathoner and has qualified and ran in the Boston Marathon.  He is also a multiple time Olathe City marathon Champion.  I once rode a bike alongside him while he ran a 10 mile training run.  I could barely keep up!

Matt Seifert

Bailey and I met back in high school and bonded over our love of K-State. Bailey always had an open door for me traveling to Manhattan when we were in college. She now lives in ATL but we still love to chat about our latest reads, even trying to keep our 2-person book club going over the long distance! 

Bailey Bahr

A real life Gaylord Focker!  Former Male nurse with a kind heart and humble nature turned into a successful anesthesiologist.  High propensity for grabbing a beer at CSB and chatting about life.  

Chris Norris

Dr. Cooper is one of the most caring and selfless people I know. We met Freshman year at band camp (she played the saxophone, and I was much cooler in the drumline) and have been friends ever since. I can always count on a game night or Mort's Martinis with her when she comes into town! 

Emma Cooper

Still looks the exact same as when we were in college!  This man does not age.  Bonded in college playing countless hours of Red Card soccer on Xbox.  

Leighton Schmidt

Megan is the strongest girl I know. We have been friends since high school, back when we thought sneaking out at night to hang out at the St. Peter's playground was the craziest thing we could do. Now, she is always down to get an espresso martini or brunch... or preferably both!

Megan Cornelious 

Fellow SC alum and Winfield, KS local celebrity.  We are fraternity brothers in Phi Delta Theta.  A Social butterfly is an understatement!  Great guy to grab a drink with on a week night or on short notice.

Our favorite spot for a nice French dining. We love it for dinner or brunch (best breakfast sandwich in Wichita, in Maddie's opinion). Espresso Martini or the port to finish off the night here is a must.
