I can remember sitting in 6th grade english class laughing at all the goofy things Nick was doing across the room. One thing in particular was this horrible attempt at drawing a turtle, but to this day I remember that moment so vividly. Nick loves making people laugh, no matter if it is even slightly self deprecating. It was something as simple as this that made me fall in love with the man he is today. He is still that silly 12-year-old.
I honestly do not know how to sit here and talk about our relationship for others to read. Neither of us really enjoy being the center of attention... okay maybe it's fun sometimes, but jokes aside it feels like a relationship like ours deserves a moment in the spotlight. Watching the love of your life grow up is unique. We have already seen hardship in each others lives, as well as times of happiness and celebration. We have watched each other progress in our professions and just as overall human beings. We have stayed each others number one fan throughout it all.
When videos or films I created were published, Nick was always telling everyone all about it, telling me how amazing I am (even though I still know I have a long way to go in this professional life). Nick has encouraged me to follow my dreams and do whatever it takes, even when it means spending weeks apart... or even a year of long distance. We always wanted to make sure we prioritized our profession just as much as our relationship. He never worried about his wants and needs before mine. He is a perfect example of how all loving men should be. Despite all the work he has put into his dream of becoming a doctor, mine were never less worthy of a chance.
I hate to make it seem as if I am giving us a big pat on the back, but I am. We are so deserving of this moment and the lifetime we will spend together and I am so grateful y'all are joining to celebrate with us.
Love,
Nick & Madi
P.S. Madi is cool too though- Nick
