In January of 2021, Madison and Justin were both working at The San Antonio Orthopedic Group (TSAOG) as medical assistants. Justin was new to the team, and Madison was returning after taking classes.

One fateful day, Madison was working with the X-ray team as a float medical assistant. Justin stopped by the X-ray room to upload images. This is where they met for the first time. After quick introductions, they both realized they were starting physician assistant school in the Fall and had graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Justin was immediately smitten. Madison was oblivious.

The next several weeks consisted of Justin anxiously waiting for opportunities to talk with Madison, and Madison unaware of his attempts to flirt (albeit poor attempts).

Then, Madison was assigned a Float Coordinator role with a doctor that Justin frequently worked with. This led to them working together three times per week over a period of 3 months. As each week passed, their relationship quickly blossomed from acquaintances to close friends. In other words, they both recognized a strong connection from the get-go.

After a fun summer together as a couple, they sadly had to start the next chapter of their relationship as long-distance for PA school. While this time was difficult, it made their relationship stronger. Fast-forward to February 2024, Madison and Justin both obtained positions as physician assistants and began their life together in Dallas, TX.

As 2024 progressed, Justin began planning his proposal to Madison, as he knew October is her favorite month. Justin knew that Iceland was a bucket-list travel destination for the both of them, and that this would be a memorable location to propose. On October 23rd, 2024, it was a beautifully gloomy and rainy day in Iceland. After starting the morning looking out over Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, they made their way to Diamond Beach. With Justin's encouragement, he convinced Madison to trudge with him in the black sand farther down the beach, against the cold wind and rain. To Madison's surprise, in the middle of taking pictures, Justin got down on one knee.

We do not have a registry of material items. Instead, we will gratefully accept any contribution towards our future home fund or honeymoon fund.
