For those of you who don’t know, the story of how Brian and I first knew each other and then became a couple is a bit long, but bear with me as I take you all down memory lane : )
Where I’m going to start is with a wonderful person named Karna, Brians grandmother and ironically my childhood nanny. Growing up I was always around her grandchildren so naturally I became close friends with Danyelle and Andria because they were closest to my age. Brian is roughly 5 years younger than me so our story doesn’t start for a while longer… but trust me this information is important.
When I was in first grade I moved to Hudsonville and thus didn’t see the Hullinger girls near as much, but the friendship I had made with Danyelle stayed strong and through middle school we stayed close friends. I would frequently go up and spend nights with her and was so frequently around her family that they became like my own extended family.
As we grew through high school, life got busy but I still managed to go up and spend time with the Hullingers and my friendship with Andria grew more and more too. Now keep in mind i’m 16-18 years old meaning Brian is 11-13 years old so my focus wasn’t on him, but Danyelle and I would include him on our adventures because it was very easy to see that he had a crush on me ; )
Fast forwarding a bit through the end of Highschool and through college, Danyelle moved away and my friendship with Andria and Weston became strong even though we didn’t hang out often.
Now we are getting close, thanks for hanging in there!!
Andria and Weston moved to greenville so when i would go and visit I would often spend the night due to the long drive. As we hung out more and more they started to joke around that I should date Brian. This got me thinking and I kinda dismissed the thought because I didn’t want to lose my friends if it didn’t go well. But I kept thinking what it would be like.
I started to find that I cared if Brian would also be there when I would do things with Andria and Weston and so I started talking to brian. Like I said earlier he had a crush on me growing up and it never really went away, so brian jumped at the opportunity to go out on a date!!! As we started talking more and spending time together I realized he was everything I had always been looking for…the Love of my Life. Brian has shown me what true love looks like and continues to show me day after day. We have found our best friend and the love of our lives in each other and are grateful for every day that God has given us together.
There are so many people to thank and give credit too but we all know that it was God’s spectacular plan and me and Brian’s story is, in my opinion, such a beautiful example of God’s goodness.
