Ali is Madi’s younger (though much taller) sister and lifelong best friend. When they were growing up, they were often confused as being twins as they are only 10.5 months apart in age and have always had a special bond, enjoying sister time together! Nobody quite knows Madi the way her sister does. Ali and Ray also have a close friendship - Ali often refers to Ray as the brother she never had and she is happy to share the role of Madi’s best friend with him. Ali is Rose’s Godmother, and loves being an Auntie to Rose and Ben. Some of Ali's hobbies / interests include travelling, being outdoors, live music, and spending time with family and friends.

Andrea and Ali bonded quickly during their time in the Recreational Therapy program at Mohawk College, becoming fast friends. Madi first met Andrea during a fun-filled weekend winery trip in Niagara with Ali and her school friends (where Madi tagged along for the ride). It didn't take long for Madi and Andrea to hit it off, and now Andrea is affectionately known as the third Mandrak sister! Madi and Andrea share many interests, including spending time in nature, enjoying whiskey sours, rocking jean jackets, and loving the colour purple! Their best memories often involve the Mandrak cottage, where they once proudly held the title of 3-legged race champions at the Harcourt Park summer athletics competition!

Brittany is Madi and Ray’s neighbour right across the street, and her daughter, Emma is Rose’s best friend! Madi and Brittany share many of the same interests (#plantmoms), and became very close soon after Madi and Ray moved into their current house in Milton. Madi and Brittany love sitting on their porches together having life chats, hosting slumber parties for their girls, and spontaneous trips to Winners, Starbucks, and any store that sells plants!

Meagan is Ray’s younger cousin and Ben’s beloved Ninang (Godmother). Growing up together in Burlington, Ray and Meagan share many fond memories including sleepovers, pillow fort adventures, and attending the same high school for a brief period. Ray has always seen Meagan as the little sister he never had. Madi equally cherishes spending time with Meagan, enjoying family gatherings and their annual tradition of "Movie Night Under the Stars" with the kids at the park near Meagan’s house in Burlington. Madi is overjoyed to have Meagan as part of her bridal party!

Rosalyn, affectionately known as "Rose", is Madi and Ray's daughter and oldest child. Although her arrival was quite unexpected when Madi and Ray were still in undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph, she continues to be one of her parents' greatest blessings in this world. Because of her upbringing, Rose has some unique claims to fame, including being kicked out of a "bar" (trivia night at Brass Taps on campus) for being underage, being questioned if she was a real baby when her Daddy had to bring her to one of his labs, and attending many UofG varsity football, basketball, and volleyball games! Currently, she is loving Grade 1, swimming lessons, soccer, playing with her Barbie dreamhouse, and organizing / snuggling with countless stuffies that occupy half her bed! Rose has been eagerly looking forward to her role as the Flower Girl ever since her parents got engaged, and can't wait to adorn the aisle with beautiful rose petals. After all, who better to be a Flower Girl then a beautiful little girl named Rose?

Madi and Ray first met Zair during their early days at the University of Guelph, where they all lived in the same residence building. They quickly became part of the same core friend group throughout university and have thankfully remained close friends since graduating. Madi and Ray love having dinners with Zair, his wife, Muntaha, and their adorable newborn son, Yusuf! Zair's hobbies include playing sports, watching movies, disliking board games with a passion, cracking bad jokes, and creating everlasting memories with family and friends.

José has known Ray since their days in elementary school, and he attended the same high school as both Madi and Ray. Their friendship continued to grow at the University of Guelph, where they were part of the same close-knit friend group. During their fourth year, José lived just a couple of doors down when Madi was pregnant with Rose! José's photography skills came in handy on October 14th, 2023, when he captured Ray's surprise proposal to Madi at the University of Guelph Arboretum!

Dion is Ray’s much younger (and slightly taller) brother, separated by an 8-year age gap. He is also Ben’s Ninong (Godfather). Following closely in his brother’s footsteps, Dion is currently studying Software Engineering at the University of Guelph (#GryphonPride) and recently started interning at TD Bank, occasionally getting to see and go out for lunch with Ray at the office in downtown Toronto! Dion enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and chess (though hasn’t been able to beat Ray yet - at chess that is). Madi first met Dion while getting ready for high school prom with Ray when Dion was just 10 years old (though Madi and Ray weren’t each other's prom dates)! Madi considers Dion to be like a younger brother and treasures the occasions they get to play volleyball together!

Lavelle is Ray's cousin and Rose's beloved Ninong (Godfather). Growing up, Lavelle and Ray spent countless hours together at their Lola Mila and Lolo Dennis' house in Scarborough, ON, creating cherished memories. There’s even an adorable bath-time photo of them that Madi secretly hopes will make an appearance at the reception! Further evidence of their fun times together, Ray designed a hilarious 2023 Secret Santa blanket for Lavelle that has a throwback picture of the two of them posing on top of the "Rush Hour" movie cover! Madi first met Lavelle at the Baby Shower that was thrown when Madi was pregnant with Rose. Funnily enough, Ray had already chosen Lavelle to be Rose's Ninong at that point, before Madi even had the chance to meet him! It didn't take long for Madi to understand why Lavelle was a great choice, and to this day, Madi enjoys the times they get to spend together!

Benjamin, affectionately known as "Ben", is Madi and Ray's son and youngest child. His arrival was just as unexpected as his sister’s, coming when Ray had just graduated from the University of Guelph and Madi was a few months away from starting graduate studies at the University of Toronto. Ben is every bit the blessing that his sister is! Ben's interests include school buses, city buses, double-decker buses... you get the idea! He also enjoys playing with his friends in Junior Kindergarten, swimming lessons, soccer, his Hot Wheels race tracks and monster trucks, and spending time observing nature! When Madi and Ray first got engaged and started preparing Ben for his role as the Ring Bearer, he adorably believed he was going to be the Ring "Bear". Who better to be a Ring "Bear" than a charming little Benny Bear?
