I know a lot of our guests will be visitors from out of town. October is the perfect month to visit Cedar Point! It's about an hour and a half away from the Akron area and would be a great place to go the day after our big day. Halloweekends is a really fun time to enjoy the amusement park, check it out!
Another great thing to do this time of year is visit the Gorge Metro Park! It is actually where Andy proposed! The fall foliage and the hiking trails can't be beat. Stop by Swenson's after your walk for the true Akron experience ;)
Stan Hwyet is another beautiful place to visit in Akron. Whether you enjoy walking the outdoor gardens or viewing the architecture of the mansion, it's a great place to visit!
Hale Farm & Village is a living history museum operated by the Western Reserve Historical Society and is within the boundaries of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Explore 19th century life in the Western Reserve including 32 historic structures, craft and trade demonstrations, farm animals and gardens. Our costumed interpreters will provide a look into daily life on the farm.
Here is another spooky activity that our out-of-town guests may enjoy, a day at The Ohio State Reformatory! Located about an hour southwest of Akron, this old prison is worth the trip. This time of year will be perfect for a self guided tour around the prison and the grounds.
