It was the tail end of summer 2022—Sunday, August 28th to be exact. Maeve had been bopping around the city with her cousin, Abbie, and her friend, Gabby. Dropping into the local bars for a drink (or two) to hopefully cure the little bit of hangover that had been lingering. She didn’t look her best either—no makeup, not dressed up, hair not done but none the less, single and having fun. The day was about to end when Abbie had mentioned she wanted to go in for one last drink in a bar called, Hunter’s.


A few moments later, a tall, handsome guy comes walking in with a pack of his friends—them too just coming from another bar in the city after doing their annual fantasy football draft. Later to find out his name was Jeff Rousseau—not to be confused with Russo (which was how Maeve had it saved in her phone for the first month after they met).


At this point, Maeve was feeling a little confident waiving to Abbie and Gabby to go talk to the group of guys. Maeve’s eyes were set on Jeff, not because his sleeves were a little too short or because he was wearing a backpack in a bar, but because she knew there was just something special about him. The two talked all night long. Jeff walked Maeve out to her Uber and it was then that Maeve knew he was the one.


Jeff, may have cancelled on their first date but Maeve wasn’t ready to let this guy go. So, they met up for coffee later in the week and I think it was that moment that Jeff realized he was in for the long haul….

Today, Jeff and Maeve, just moved into their forever home this August after major renovations. Both, enjoy doing projects around the house to make it feel even more like home. Maeve and Jeff love a good meal, going to local restaurants, and enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine together.
