Well, it depends on who you ask...

His Story: It was love at first sight. The year was 1994, the month of February. Her family made a stop at my church, and her father was invited to preach. Naturally, the family was asked to stand, so the church can recognize them. And there she was...my future wife, I thought. Of course, being the procrastinator that I am, I decided to approach her in the afternoon, but they did not come back. And just like that, the opportunity was lost. Fast forward, a year later...while walking across Oakwood College campus, there she was...my future wife, I thought again. To make a long story short, it took three more years before my thought would become a reality.

Her Story: The year was 1997, the month of November, when I took notice of a handsome young man watching my every move. His eyes were constantly on me, which was strange, but not in a weird way. After all, we were on the same college campus and part of the same friend group. Interestingly enough, I thought he liked one of my friends, and so I tried to pair them up. However, one day, he looked at me and said, "it's you that I want." And suddenly those gazes made sense. Fast forward...to July 25, 1999, I formally accepted to be under his gaze forever and always.

God has certainly been good to us and has blessed us with two wonderful sons. Together, we travel and navigate through this very interesting road called life, while sharing laughter, tears, and joy. It has been quite an exquisite and enjoyable ride and we look forward to sharing many more memories.
