Our Story

I think this is how love goes...

We met right before we graduated from Clemson in 2010. Maggie tried to feed Adam her sandwich, so she must've thought it was love at first sight (probably because she heard he drove a red Jeep). Adam politely declined, but a few weeks later, "accidentally" threw his drink on a guy who asked Maggie to dance, so maybe he knew it was love then, too. We survived Senior Walk together, narrowly escaped a wild boar attack on a midnight hike through Issaqueena, and talked our way through kitchen counter-top conversations that led us to a long-distance relationship. We sang the blues in Memphis and danced by the Cumberland River in Nashville, as we became experts in airport security lines and long phone conversations with 530 miles between us. Several pounds of BBQ nachos later, Maggie moved to Greenville for graduate school - two years away from Clemson was too many, and living in the same city as Adam was just a fortunate coincidence that probably didn't factor into her decision at all. We've made many memories in Greenville and our adventures in the surrounding area, but our favorite involve the countless days spent by the Chattooga River. Adam first took Maggie there on July 4, 2010, where she no doubt fell in love with his adventurous spirit and shared-enthusiasm for Parmesan cheese (even though he yelled at her over pizza). Several camping trips, paddling excursions, 1 hailstorm-hike, and 4.5 years later, Adam took Maggie to the river to ask a very important question. Now, after celebrating twenty-something weddings with friends and family, it's our turn. We look forward to sharing our day with all those who have loved and supported us along the way!
