Hector and Maggie's story began doing what they both love, telling stories. They met for the first time on a zoom call where they were supposed to discuss Hector's film, Fabúla. Hector was interviewing Maggie for the position of costume designer on the film. While they both wanted to keep things as professional as possible, the "interview" lasted three hours and the topics of conversation ranged from 80's fantasy films to haunted houses around the world. All you need to know about the nature of Maggie and Hector's relationship can be said with the re-telling of their first date. For their first date, they planned a double feature of The Princess Bride (Maggie's favorite film) and The Dark Crystal (one of Hector's favorites). The date began with Hector sweetly bringing over candies from Mexico to share. Determined to show off their goofy side, both Maggie and Hector truly committed and dressed up for the movies. Hector dressed up as Princess Buttercup and Maggie as Wesley from The Princess Bride. Their looks were complete with a poorly drawn mustache and a frizzy blonde wig. Unfortunately there are no photos to document this hilarious date but it was the start of forever for these two. Now they are excited to share their special day with loved ones and spend the rest of their lives laughing.
