We love Western Massachusetts and so will you! While you're in town you should absolutely make a whole big deal of it. Here are some of our favorite things about the beautiful Berkshires!!
Mezze Bistro + Bar- Luckily for everyone, Mezze will be catering the wedding! But you should check out the restaurant. It's hands down the best food for miles (maybe anywhere!). Chef Kevin Orcutt brings farm to table to the next level and Bar Manager Maddy Markland makes the meanest cocktail this side of the Hudson!
The Airport Rooms is a gorgeous bar with small plates at Tourists Hotel. Designed to look like an old, eclectic Massachusetts home (because well...it was one) right across the street from the airport.
Jack's Hot Dogs has old-school counter-service hot dogs for under two dollars! Do I have to say more?
Mass MoCA is the best contemporary art museum in the whole world. Get lost in the installations and have a meal and a margarita at Casita or a beer at Bright Ideas Brewery. Buy a coffee table book that reminds everyone you're smart, cultured, and better than them!
The Clark Art Institute is a classic art collection built into the hills of Williamstown. Enjoy the art, sunbathe by the manmade pond, or take a hike on the campus.
Mount Hope Farm is an abandoned Rockefeller Mansion now owned by Williams College. Go gawk at the Gilded Age home and then walk down by the river to the stables and overgrown pool.
Mount Greylock is the tallest point in Massachusetts. Grab a coffee at the lodge, climb up the monument, and take in the view!
Field Farm, a pair of Modernist homes (one a bed & breakfast!), and more than 300 acres of open fields, woods, and wetlands with four miles of footpaths. Check out the sculptures, the birds, and the beavers!
Every Saturday there is a farmers market in Williamstown on Spring Street, in the parking lot across from Tunnel City Coffee, and one in North Adams on Main Street in front of Hotel Downstreet.
A 109-year-old movie theatre on Spring Street in Williamstown. It has a gorgeous bar and plays art house films and blockbusters alike.
Head to Main Street in North Adams to find tons of vintage clothing and quirky Antique shops.
Tunnel City Coffee is the social hub of Williamstown. Renovated from an old garage, the natural light and infamous cakes make the perfect backdrop for small-town drama. You will probably see Maggie's dad, Sam Crane, posted up all day long.
The Mohawk is a former (maybe current?) biker bar with pool, darts, and cheap beers!
The State Street Tavern is the king of all dive bars. With Christmas lights all year long, walls lined with photos of Boston sports legends and townies, and a karaoke cult following, this is the place to be seen.
