Q + A

Can I bring a wedding guest/date?

To keep our wedding an intimate event, we can only allow people named on the invitation. Thanks for understanding!

Are kids invited?

While we would love to see your kiddos, we decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event (exceptions being close family). Please reach out to the bride for a list of local babysitters with glowing reviews. We hope you understand and can enjoy a fun date night!

What is the dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! Men are encouraged with wear suits and women semi-formal or cocktail dresses.

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

If we do not get an RSVP back by the date which we have provided, it will be marked as a "No." We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue in a timely manner.

When do I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by February 16th.

What if I can't make it?

Your prescence will surely be missed. Please RSVP "Regretfully Decline." If you have RSVP'd attending, but find that you can no longer make it, please notify Lauren at (847)826-2883.

What time is the wedding?

The ceremony will begin at 2pm, followed by cocktail hour at 4:30 and reception beginning at 5:30. Please refer to "Things To Do" tab for recommendations on how to spend the time between the ceremony and cocktail hour.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to park and find your seat. All venues are wheelchair accessible, so please reach out to the bride or groom for instructions on those entrances.

Where should I park?

For the ceremony, street parking is free unless you park at a metered location. Please pay attention to street signs to ensure you are not towed. For the reception, free parking is provided to guests in the parking lot across the street on Jackson and the Children's Museum. Metered parking spots are located on the surrounding streets and only need to be paid until 9pm.

How should I get to the ceremony and reception?

We care about your wellbeing and ask you make the responsible decision in regards to getting around town. If you are a guest staying at the Residence Inn with us, shuttle transportation is offered to/from the airport and a 3 mile radius from the hotel. If you utilize this accommodation, please treat the drivers well as they will be helping several of our family and friends over the weekend. Utilizing Uber/Lyft to get around town is a safe, reliable option. Please use with care. Using your personal/rented vehicle is always welcome.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, the drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you.
