Even though we didn't really know each other, the paths of Maggie and I crossed many times throughout our years at Luther Prep and at Martin Luther College since we had lots of mutual friends. Here we are attending a wedding before we became good friends, little did we know what lay ahead.

One way that Maggie and started talking was through choir. It started off with just short interactions in the choir room, but eventually I worked up enough courage to ask her out for a drink. Here we are as a couple on our choir tour in Kansas City.

While at MLC, Maggie and I got to know each other because of our mutual friends. One group of friends, which we called "Mittwoch," would hang out every Wednesday to play games or get drinks together. Here we all are at 2022 graduation.

After graduation, I knew that Maggie and I would have to maintain a long-distance relationship since we both love to adventure. I spent the first month of my summer in Europe while she worked as an intern in Fort Collins. But here and there we were able to see each other over the summer, and we grew despite the distance. Here we are hiking Mt. Evans in Colorado.

The following school year, I was thrilled to discover that Maggie would be student teaching in Manitowoc, only an hour away from Seminary. I visited her nearly every weekend that I could. This picture was taken at Kohler-Andre State Park on one of our many meet-ups.

Since Maggie was suspicious that a proposal was coming soon, I had to figure out how to keep it a surprise. So while Maggie was on her senior-year choir tour in California, I flew out to San Diego to surprise her. Thanks to the help of a few of Maggie's family members, the proposal was a success and we enjoyed the next few days in California together.

At graduation, Maggie received a call to teach 7th grade and departmentalized science at Garden Homes in Milwaukee. Although the first year of teaching can be challenging, we are blessed to be near each other as we prepare for the wedding.
