They say love finds you when you least expect it—and for us, it started with a napkin. One evening at a sushi and hibachi restaurant, I came in for dinner and immediately noticed the adorable sushi chef behind the counter. With a little courage (and a lot of smiles), I flirted with him by passing a note on a napkin. He slipped me his number, and that simple moment changed our lives forever.

Over the past three years, we’ve grown not just as a couple, but as best friends. I helped him with his English, and he helped me believe in love again. Through every challenge and every laugh, we’ve learned that communication, patience, and a little bit of humor can get you through anything. He showed me that sometimes, the best things in life are worth waiting for.

After our three-year anniversary, we traveled to New York City to see my dad perform on stage. I had joked that I dreamt he would propose during our trip—but never in a million years did I think it would come true! On November 14th, 2024, in the middle of Central Park on the beautiful Bow Bridge, he got down on one knee. I was so surprised, I forgot to say “yes” right away—but once I found my words, it was the easiest “yes” of my life.

Now, we’re so excited to celebrate the beginning of our forever with all the people who have loved and supported us along the way.
