While you're in America, you can't miss America's pastime! Comerica Park is located downtown near lots of great restaurants and bars, and going to a summer evening Tigers game is a classic part of the Michigan experience. Sweetwater Tavern

A small island in the Detroit River between Detroit and Canada. The park is great to just walk around, but there's also an aquarium, a nature center with activities, and dedicated swimming areas.

Belle Isle

Maggie's favourite Mexican restaurant in Metro Detroit! Their salsa flight is a must-have, and they also do really fun weekly/monthly specials. Bonus: its located on historic Woodward Ave, which was the first mile of concrete highway in the world.

Imperial

Detroit's former train station has been repurposed and now is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and a park. Check the website to see what events they are hosting in Summer 2026.
