Our Wedding

On July 4, 2013, Maggie and Simon attended a rooftop party of a mutual friend. Simon was giving out his famous American flag vests (he really loves sports), and Maggie wanted one. She struck up a conversation, he bought her a fireball shot, and the rest was history...kind of.8 months later, Maggie remembered the tall drink of water whose American flag vest she still had, and texted "Here's a shot in the dark..." to Simon. He was very excited to receive this communication and wrote back, "I've only been waiting 8 months for this text." And then, the rest was really history. Maggie and Simon ate, quoted movies, danced to fat beats, watched #sports, partied with family and friends, and traveled their way through the next two years.

How We Met

On March 19, 2016, after a successful day of coaching, Simon asked Maggie to come over to his newly purchased home to look at the paint job he had completed before heading to his parents house to "celebrate his dad's birthday." Maggie came over, admired his handy work and they both made their way to the kitchen. While Maggie was sitting on the counter, Simon told her he loved her and said he had a question. He pulled the ring out of his back pocket to which Maggie said "WHAT?!" followed by, "Of course I will!" They hugged, it got a little dusty in the room and Simon popped a bottle of champagne. Maggie asked if she could call her mom and Simon said that they could go to her parent's house after dinner. On top of the world, they drove to the Landon/Patinkin residence and were greeted by all of Simon's family. Catching Maggie by surprise, the entire Hatcher family was also waiting in the kitchen. It was REAL dusty for Maggie at that point. After a delicious meal and another toast, Simon had arranged for all of their friends to be waiting at Sheffield's, the spot of their first date. After a sufficient amount of celebration, they ended their night with a Tenderizer at Cheesies. It was perfect.
