Maggie and Clayton have known each other for most of their lives. Growing up just ten minutes apart in Jonesborough, Tennessee, their paths crossed often — but it wasn’t until their sophomore year of high school that their story really began. In February of that year, they started growing closer... just as the world shut down. With COVID-19 lockdowns keeping everyone apart, Maggie and Clayton stayed connected the best way they could — through daily phone calls and Snapchat. After nearly two months without seeing each other in person, their first date was a simple and sweet outing for ice cream on Clayton’s 17th birthday — their first real chance to sit, talk, and just be together. They’ve been by each other’s side ever since. Their love didn’t come from grand gestures, but from the little moments — long talks, shared laughter, quiet time together. It was through those ordinary days that something extraordinary began to grow. Since high school, life has taken them on new adventures. Clayton moved to New York to attend West Point, where he’s preparing to commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. Maggie graduated from nursing school and is now working as a registered nurse in the ICU — faithfully caring for others with the same calm strength she brings to every part of her life. In the spring of 2025, during a break from school, Clayton proposed in the gardens of the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina — a place he had visited before and knew would take Maggie’s breath away. She had no idea what was coming... but said yes without hesitation. Now, five years after that ice cream date, they’re ready for their next chapter. Maggie and Clayton are getting married on May 30th, 2026, and can’t wait to celebrate with the people who have supported them every step of the way. They’re most excited to begin the future God has planned for them — together.
