Our story starts off with two people who never thought they'd meet each other. We were both at places in our lives where meeting someone and settling down just wasn't really in the cards. Well, it also didn't help that we lived in different countries.

Yet, we both saw the value in each other and what we could be together. At the start of our relationship, Erika told Maggie she had planned to move away to New Zealand for a few months, and that those plans were not changing. Maggie had to make the decision to continue our new relationship of only a few months, or not. We both decided we had something too good and had to see it through. Maggie was able to come visit New Zealand, and that's where we ended up getting engaged! Piha Beach to be exact.

The rest of the time apart was extremely difficult, but in the end, it made our relationship that much stronger. As we head into the year of 2024 (our wedding year!), we now look forward to celebrating our love and finally closing the distance. As Erika pursues a new career in Digital Marketing and Maggie pursues a career in Psychology, we are excited to start our lives in St. Thomas, ON. We're thrilled to have you all join us in celebrating our love story and we can't wait to see everyone on October 4th, 2024.
