A few places we love to go around Cuyahoga Falls and Akron! There's 17 independent craft breweries in Summit County alone, so there's no shortage of great places to drink and eat.
The Merchant Tavern
1824 Merriman Road, Akron, Ohio
Upscale American food. We recommend a reservation Friday through Sunday.
Missing Falls Brewery
540 S. Main Street Suite 112, Akron, Ohio
Casual local brewery with good food. The BF Goodrich pizza is one of our favorites!
Wholly Frijoles Mexican Street Food
2404 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Small local place with amazing Mexican food.
Umami Noodle
677 Howe Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Great ramen restaurant with lots of other noodle and dumpling dishes.
We love exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park and invite you to do so as well! Some of our favorite places to hike are below:
Ledges Trail
Blue Hen Falls Trail (Where we got engaged!)
Brandywine Falls Waterfall and Trail (parts of the boardwalk for waterfall viewing are handicap accessible)
Boston Mills Visitor Center
The Cleveland Aquarium is a fun place for all ages
The art museum is free for everyone and has an interesting mix of historical artifacts and art from all over the world.
Right down the road from the art museum, the natural history museum was recently renovated and has some cool dinosaurs.
Great Lakes Brewing Company is all over the Midwest. They're located in downtown Cleveland and you can take tours of the brewery or eat at their restaurant and brew house.
Market Garden Brewery is another big brewery in Cleveland. They're around the corner from Great Lakes Brewing and right next to the West Side Market, a local public market with vendors for food, meat, produce, and more.
The Akron Zoo has off season hours that will be open in late October.
