The Love Story

We met the way a lot of modern love stories begin—on Hinge in November 2023. From our very first messages, the connection between us felt easy, natural, and somehow familiar. There was an unspoken sense of “Oh, there you are. I’ve been waiting for you.” And it didn’t take long before we decided to meet in person

Our first date was on Rainey Street, surrounded by the hum of music, the clinking of glasses, and the soft buzz of city life. We clicked immediately—no awkward silences, no pretending. Just two people drawn to each other in a way that felt magnetic. There was something electric about him—his laugh, the way he listened, the way he made even small talk feel meaningful. We hit it off instantly, and I found myself hoping the night wouldn’t end

But it was a moment on our walk back to his car that sealed it for me.

We were strolling along, just talking and soaking it all in, when “Pretty Woman” started blaring from one of the nearby bars. Without hesitation, Noah broke into song, singing the lyrics out loud and dancing along the sidewalk, completely unbothered by the people around us. He looked so free, so joyful—and so unafraid to be himself. But in that exact moment, something shifted. I watched him, grinning and carefree, completely unbothered by how silly he might have looked—and I think that’s when I knew. I knew I wanted to spend more time with this man—this silly, kind, confident person who could dance to Roy Orbison on a random street and somehow make it feel like a scene from a movie.

Since that night, our story has only grown. We’ve shared quiet mornings and late-night drives, tough talks and easy laughter. But no matter where life takes us, I’ll always go back to that night on Rainey—when he sang “Pretty Woman” like no one was watching, and I started falling in love.

Fast forward six months, and we were boarding a plane to Alaska. Two weeks of exploring glaciers, hiking through mountains, and soaking in the endless daylight—and somehow, we never got tired of each other. Everyone we met assumed we were on our honeymoon. Maybe it was the way we moved so comfortably together, the way we laughed and talked like we’d known each other for years. The truth was, we were just wildly in love—and maybe a little crazy to take such a big trip so soon. But it never felt too soon. With Noah, it always felt like the right time.

Since then, our love has been marked by adventure. We’ve made Fredericksburg our favorite little escape, sipping wine and walking hand in hand through vineyards and small-town streets. We explored the beauty of Seattle, the charm of Tennessee, and then came one of our most unforgettable chapters: Iceland.

Over two weeks of waterfalls, lava fields, black sand beaches, and Northern Lights, we lived a dream—and it was there, surrounded by wild landscapes and quiet magic, that Noah asked me to marry him. There was no hesitation in my heart. Just a full, resounding yes.

Our love story didn’t just happen. We built it—trip by trip, laugh by laugh, moment by moment. From the silly dancing on Rainey to the edge of the world in Iceland, I’ve known that with Noah, I’ve found something rare. A love that’s adventurous, rooted, joyful, and endlessly true. And the best part? This still feels like just the beginning.
