Children are welcome at the Mass, but the wedding cocktail hour and reception will be adults only. We recognize our family and friends may have gorgeous little ones traveling to Chicago for the wedding weekend, but for the reception we ask that you consider a babysitting service recommended by our local Chicago friends and moms. Please send Maggie or John a text for more information.

Car rental & parking

There is free parking at the hotel if you are planning to rent a car.
Please know parking in Chicago can be expensive but you can use the Pay to Park app for short term street parking, and the Spot Hero app for overnight parking options.
City transportation
Chicago offers bike and scooter rentals (Divvy app) and the L train and bus systems accept tap payments on your phone (please be safe and aware of surroundings on public transport 🤍) www.chicagotransit.com
Where should we stay in the city?
A few favorite neighborhoods:
-River North (basically heart of city, near riverwalk and lakefront path, lots of bars and restaurants/rooftop bars)
-Gold Coast (great location for site seeing, lots of charming Chicago real estate)
-Lincoln Park (near lake, zoo, bars & restaurants just a little more north in the city)
-West Loop (cool/‘hip’ bars & restaurants, further away from lake and river if that’s an interest)
-South loop stay from 12th-18th street (quieter area but near lakefront path and Museum Campus)
Do I need an ESTA?
If traveling from Ireland for the wedding, you will need to apply for an ESTA. For more information, click here or please reach out to John and Maggie with any questions!
