Josh and I met in our communications class at Louisiana Tech. We were assigned to be in a group project together and instantly felt a connection. We started hanging out in February of 2021. We would spend hours talking and getting to know one another every night at my apartment. Our first date was on April 11, 2021 to Roma Italian Bistro. It was not until June 11, 2021 when Josh asked me to be his girlfriend while we were on a camping trip with our friends. Right after the trip, Josh came to Shreveport for a few days to meet my family. My family instantly fell in love with him. A couple weeks later, I went to Marrero to meet his family. We knew after meeting each other’s families that Josh and I had something special and we could both picture spending the rest of our lives together. It was not until September of 2021 that our love really grew when Josh decided to get baptized at First Baptist Ruston. After Josh’s baptism, we both grew in our walk with Christ immensely. Ever since then, we have grown to love each other more and more and have learned what it means to truly have Christ in the center of our relationship. We are so excited to see how the Lord moves in this next chapter of our lives and cannot wait until we say “I do!”
