Unlikely and Unique: On the day of our first date, we both wavered. Sam nearly canceled the date altogether, and Maggie took a shot to get the courage to go. The drive from Terre Haute to Bloomington is around 50 minutes, so both of us had plenty of time to think about how nervous we were. Soon we were on the way to the Noodles and Company, and before either of us knew, four hours had passed.

What neither of us expected before our date blossomed into a bond that would last 7 years and counting. A shared love of travel, art, and so much more brought us together, and before long we became inseparable.

Our time together has been eventful at every step. From living through a global pandemic, to bunkering through a hurricane, we take everything life has thrown at us and make the most of it.

In our 7 years of dating, we have traveled to 7 countries, lived in 3 different states, and taken countless trips within the US. All of these experiences were alongside our wonderful family and friends (that is you, dear reader).

We have learned in our time together that what makes our adventures special is the time we spend with each other, and we feel so grateful to have this special bond. Please join us as we launch the next phase of our life together in Asheville, North Carolina!
