While many have heard this story, here is the story of Maggie and Will for those who have not!

Maggie and Will met in the spring of 2022 on a Sunday morning in their church's welcome center. Maggie was home from college for a weekend to visit her family, while Will had just recently started coming to Fredonia Hill Baptist Church! As Maggie was buzzing through the hallway, attempting to talk to everyone who passed her way, she was stopped by a mutual family friend, Mrs. Janis Robertson. She had a young man with her that she wanted Maggie to meet. It just so happened that this young man was Will Hill. Neither of them thought much of the encounter, but continued on with each of their lives, Maggie away at college and Will working in East Texas. It just was not the time the Lord had appointed!

When Maggie moved back to the Nacogdoches area, she heard the name Will Hill everywhere she went. In her mind she would think, "Who is this person people keep referring to?"

In the spring of 2023, Maggie needed someone to drive the church van for a service event. When brainstorming who she could ask, a friend suggested that she reach out to Will Hill. Will quickly agreed to drive the van. Little did Maggie and Will know what the Lord had in store for this van ride. When it got to the day of the event, Maggie's friend who was helping coordinate the event, graciously let Maggie sit in the front passenger seat. If you know Maggie, then you know that embracing silence is not her strong suit. She quickly began asking Will twenty questions about his life, his family, his interests, and how he likes to drink his coffee. During this twenty minute drive, Maggie and Will both realized that they had a lot of commonalities. But after this adventure to the local nursing home, life marched on.

Until, Maggie and Will served at the same day camp at their church. Over these next few days, Maggie and Will were able to develop a friendship. At the end of the week, Maggie was shocked when Will asked her on a date! She was so shocked that when he asked her she said, "Sure, we can hangout sometime!" But quickly Will surmised that was Maggie's version of a resounding yes.

The date went superbly well! And the dates after went so well that on December 24, 2023, Will asked Maggie Grace to marry him and spend a lifetime chasing after the Lord together!

They each look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for this next chapter!
