Our Wedding

Maggie and Carter met while they were both attending South Dakota State University for college. After some time talking on Snapchat, Carter asked Maggie if she wanted to go to Dairy Queen for blizzards. After this date, the two of them spent almost every day together. Carter was a God sent for Maggie as he helped her learn her way around campus and helped her meet more people. Eventually on November 4, 2021, Carter asked Maggie to be his girlfriend and she of course said yes. ❤️

First Date

In March of 2022, Carter and Maggie took their first trip together to the Omaha Zoo.

First Trip Together

Maggie and Carter say goodbye to each other for the summer as Carter stays in Brookings and Maggie goes home to work for the summer. Although it was a difficult 3 months, the two of them made sure to visit often and made it work! 

Summer of 2022

The two of them are back in Brookings and spend lots of time downtown together with their friends. 

Maggie’s Junior & Carter’s Senior Year

Maggie & Carter spend the summer living with their friends while the both of them work in Sioux Falls for the summer. The two of them spend many days going on walks, going to Target, and having fun with their friends. 

Summer 2023

Carter moves to Sioux Falls while Maggie stays in Brookings for her senior year. However, Maggie stays at Carter’s apartment for the majority of her senior year because she misses him so much. Brookings just wasn’t the same without Carter there. That was when Maggie knew that Carter was truly the one. 

Fall 2024

On April 13, 2024, Carter takes Maggie to a pretty park in Minnesota while they are at Maggie’s parents for the weekend. They start walking down the park trails, Maggie looks away for a second, and Carter is on one knee. Maggie immediately starts crying and Carter asks her to marry him. She of course says yes. ❤️

Although we want everyone to have fun at our wedding, we also want everyone to do so responsibly. There will be a shuttle service that includes trips out to the venue and return trips back to the hotel. Please plan accordingly. Shuttle times are as follows: Shuttle to Ridges - 2:15pm & 3:00pm Shuttle from Ridges to Holiday Inn - 10:30pm, 11:30pm, & 12:30pm
