Should I RSVP by mail or online?
Either is fine, but online RSVP is easiest to track for the couple. Please RSVP by 5/20/24 at the latest.
Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?
The ceremony will be held outdoors at the Atlantic Gazebo, which is an outdoor space on the beach. There is a platform so you will not be walking on sand!
Cocktail hour will be on the Atlantic Deck which is a covered open space.
The reception will be held in the Empress Ballroom on the second floor, which is all indoor. The Empress Terrace is an outdoor, uncovered space overlooking the beach that has bar access as a lounge space during the reception, as well.
The venue will accommodate an all-indoor event should there be rain.
Will there be parking?
Yes! Guests will be greeted by a parking attendant and self-park. It will seem limited due to the time of year, but there is a big lot in front and on the side of the venue.
Is the venue handicap-accessible?
Yes! There are ramps to the ceremony/cocktail hour spaces and an elevator to the reception area.
Can I bring a plus 1?
We thank you for respecting what is notated on your mailed invitation as our guest list is carefully selected and based on our budget.
Can I bring my children?
No, we will not have a children's menu or a kid-friendly space. We know many will be traveling so please plan ahead to have a parents' night (or weekend) at the Jersey Shore!
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, with some considerations. We will have an open tab until a certain dollar amount, and then a cash bar option will be offered. Please be prepared to cover your drinks towards the end of the night and to leave tips for the amazing Windows on the Water staff. Per venue restrictions, no shots will be served.
Lastly, please drink respectfully - you don't want to be "that guy"!!
What's the menu?
Cocktail Hour will include four stations including paella, Spanish marinated pork shoulder, pasta, and antipasto charcuterie, as well as 10 different butler-passed hors d'oeuvres.
Dinner will include a caesar salad, a choice of 4 entrees (filet mignon, chicken breast, salmon, or eggplant rollatini) with sides, and a choice of cake (chocolate with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting) or ice cream sundae bar (with Belgian waffles). Champagne, lemon water, soft drinks, tea, and coffee will be available. EAT UP!
What is the wedding day itinerary?
Please arrive at 5:15pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Cocktail hour will be from 6-7pm and the reception will be from 7-11pm sharp.
What are we doing the next day?
Maggie & Rob invite all who are staying to join them for a beach day on Friday, 6/21.
Are there any special travel considerations?
YES!
Driving: Be prepared with cash and change, or EZPass for tolls. See Travel page for route options.
Flying: Newark Liberty International Airport is closest (1 hour to venue). JFK or Philadelphia International are geographically closer but a nightmare to navigate to/from.
Can I take photos at your wedding?
YES! We have a husband-wife team for professional photography, but please feel free to take and post photos using the #shorelyAdwyer.
Please ensure you are mindful not to interfere with professional photography.
What about gifts?
We are already so grateful for our guests to travel to celebrate our love, so gifts are not expected. We will have a registry, and ask that gifts be mailed to the designated address for ease of transport. We will have an envelope box on site and accept any gifts with extreme gratitude.
