Join us for our British Celebration!

As most of you are well aware, we had our US wedding celebration last summer (2025), however given the distance between the two nations we understand that many of you were unable to make the trip out West. Therefore, we have decided that we'll just come to you and we'll do some more celebrating in the UK. All the details for the party should be included on the website, but feel free to reach out if you need any more information or have any questions. We'll help out best we can. We can't wait to see you all in August 2026!

Our Wedding

What you need to know

We won't be having a nuptual ceremony this time around, instead we intend to spend our time with you enjoying some good music, dancing, many laughs, some good food, and maybe a few drinks.

The Venue

We will be holding the celebration at The Mount Hotel, which is located in Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands. The Mount is located in a quiet location on the outskirts of the Staffordshire countryside and is around a twenty minute drive away from Wolverhampton city centre. Our party will be held in the Great Hall and will start at 7pm. A buffet will be provided in advance of entertainment.

For our guests at home

For guests based in the UK, The Mount is easily reachable by car and is around a twenty minute drive from Wolverhampton city centre. The hotel has 120 parking spaces which should be ample for our event.

For our overseas guests

There are multiple travel options available for guests travelling from the United States - it is really dependent upon what your travel itinerary looks like and where you will be travelling either prior to and/or after visiting Wolverhampton. Most of the major airlines (i.e. British Airways, American Airlines, Delta, and United) operate flights to a number of London based airports. Options should be available through London Heathrow, and London Gatwick. Both of these offer direct rail links into central London for those wishing to explore the capital. Those wishing to fly closer to the venue, the closest airport is Birmingham International and is approximately a sixty minute drive away from Wolverhampton. Aer Lingus operates connecting flights through Dublin, Ireland through a number of big cities in the US including Chicago and Boston. As you'll quickly find out, the UK has good rail infrastructure therefore most places should be semi-reachable via train. There are multiple trains throughout the day running on the West Coast main line which runs from London, all the way to Scotland. Birmingham has multiple train stations including one at the airport which are stops on the way to Wolverhampton when travelling North.

Where to go, and what to see

As one of us is a local around these parts, please see below a list of suggested places to visit, things to see, and even some cuisine to check out whilst in the Midlands. Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford (20 min drive)The museum is a relatively straight forward, short twenty minute drive away. Entry is free and boasts a good day out with a strong collection of military and service aircraft dating back to at least WWII. It's a really cool day out if this is your kind of thing and gives you the chance to get up close to some big planes. Bridgnorth/Severn Valley Railway (30 min drive)Bridgnorth is a small riverside town which offers some scenic views and a taste of little England. It has some cosy village pubs, chip shops, and is home to the historic cliffside railway which is a cool experience. For railway enthusiasts the Severn Valley Railway operates between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster and uses traditional steam engines and carriages. It's a step back in time and a really cool experience. The Black Country Living Museum (40 min drive)The museum is a working museum and offers visitors the chance to see what life was like in the surrounding areas at different periods in the last century. Being at the centre of the industrial revolution, the Black Country boasts strong links to industry of past, be in coal mining, or chain making, both of which are demonstrated with tours and live workshops. This would probably be a good day out for those travelling with kids. They'll get to ride an old fashioned 'Double Decker Red Bus' and for those who know the show 'Peaky Blinders' some of the series was filmed here so it's very cool to see. Also, you can get some of the best Fish and Chips going here, it's probably worth visiting just for that. Alton Towers Resort (60 min drive)Alton Towers is a theme park based in the village of Alton, Staffordshire. You'd need to drive to get here as there aren't really any direct public transport links but it is a great day out if you can make it and like good roller coasters. It boasts 9 top roller coasters along with some scenic spots to see when walking from ride to ride. It's more of a thrill seekers place so those with kids may be more suited to Drayton Manor, who offer more of a family day out. Drayton Manor Resort (45 min drive)As mentioned, Drayton Manor offers more of a family theme park experience with multiple areas tailored to small children. The whole site is very walkable and has its own zoo which is good for those who aren't keen on rides as much. If the weather is good though, they have a really good water ride which is well worth doing. Football SeasonThe 2026/2027 campaign although not announced at this stage as we're only just getting started with 25/26, should hopefully have started by the time of our celebration. The EFL Championship League with teams such as West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City should be some of the first to kick off. The Premier League is a couple of weeks later on so teams such as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa may just be out of reach depending how long your trips are spanning. Notable mentions: The Station Pub/CodsallStill operating as a railway station between Wolverhampton/Shrewsbury this pub offers a really nice traditional pub experience. You can get a nice pint of a selection of beers whether it be Lager, or Ale, and to top it off you can get some proper grub. Enjoy a cheese and onion cob (sandwich) and a packet of crisps (chips for the Americans), or they do have some other hot foods if you want a bit more of a meal.
