Where should I stay?
We recommend utilizing the Hotel Room Blocks we've reserved under the 'Hotels' tab as these will guarantee the best rates possible for our wedding weekend. Rates fluctuate in San Francisco, prices can increase depending on availability so we recommend booking at your earliest convenience!
Please note: Wedding pre-events may begin as early as Thursday, August 14th with the Wedding Ceremony and Reception to be on Saturday, August 16th. We recommend staying for a long weekend to enjoy touring and participating in wedding festivities!
Visiting San Francisco:
I'm flying, which airport works?
Both SFO and OAK are easy airports to fly into and are a ~30-40min Uber/Lyft from the venue.
I'm flying, do I need a rental car?
No - We encourage that our out-of-town guest use uber/lyft or public transportation,'BART', to travel into the city from the airport.
I'm driving, where do I park?
We hope all guests who are driving into San Francisco, understand that break-in's do happen if you leave visible items in your car while parked. With that said, each hotel has parking garages that we encourage you take advantage of.
There are also SFMTA parking garages all over that offer overnight rates - depending on where you choose to stay.
If you are driving around the city please be mindful of parking signs/hours + turn your wheels in the right direction if parking on a hill. Here's some tips!
Public Transportation:
Living in the tech capital of the world has its perks!! You can add a Clipper Card to your apple wallet and load it with $$/Tap when using MUNI (bus) & BART (train). Google Maps offers incredible walking and public transportation directions - you can even track the location/timing of your MUNI at each bus stop on Google Maps.
Uber and Lyft are also great options as well as WAYMO to test out a self-driving car!
Not so techy? Jump on a famous Cable Car - the Powell & Stockton and Van Ness & California cable cars pick up right outside our Venue and Hotels and will take you to North Beach and the Ferry Building! $8 one way - $14 all day
About our venue:
The Merchants Exchange Building is a historic gem in the heart of San Francisco, symbolizing the city's rich architectural and cultural heritage. Built in 1904, it was one of the first skyscrapers in the city and played a pivotal role in the commercial and social life of San Francisco. Surviving the 1906 earthquake and fire, it stands today as a reminder of the city's resilience and grandeur.
The Julia Morgan Ballroom:
The Julia Morgan Ballroom is a true architectural masterpiece named after Julia Morgan, one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. As the first woman to be licensed as an architect in California, she broke barriers and created iconic structures, including the legendary Hearst Castle.
