Our Wedding

Dan and Maggie's story starts in the Fall of 2012 in Ann Arbor Michigan. He was a kid with a crush. She was a girl who had no idea who he was.&nbsp; Fast Forward to January of 2020 and Maggie has a Hinge notification. Wow, she's finally found a guy who hates mayonnaise as much as she does. And he went to Michigan. And they have mutual friends. And he's tall-ish (rounds up to 6'1, but no one's counting). The two would spend the next week and a half constantly talking, texting, and even hopping on for a facetime or two. Daniel, doing this to kill time during work hours. Maggie, on a beach, by a pool, or on a boat in beautiful Hawaii. As Maggie's ever colorful best friend Macie put it, "who the hell is this guy?" Maggie and Dan went on their first date on January 10th, 2020 - Maggie's first day back from Hawaii. At 5am her flight landed. At 6:30am, Dan was in an Uber heading up to Lincoln Park to finally meet this girl who understood the truth: that fries go with ketchup, not aioli. The soon-to-be-couple, with children's wonderlust, walked together through the brisk, yet beautiful Chicago dawn. They settled on one of Maggie's favorite breakfast places. Dan probably got something sweet. Maggie probably got lunch food. They'd spend the rest of the morning watching clips and episodes of the podcast Your Mom's House, with Dan revealing that like the show's hosts, he too kept a collection of the "Coolest" TikTok's&nbsp;the world had to offer. The blossoming couple dated throughout the spring, officially going "official" before a trip up to Michigan to meet Maggie's amazing parents, Peter and Stephanie. A few months later, a trip down to Florida to introduce Maggie to Dan's incredible parents, Janet and Michael.&nbsp; Despite a brutal Chicago winter, the two continued growing closer and closer over the summer, fall, and winter. During this time, all of Dan's sports teams seemingly won championships, thus delaying Maggie's introduction to "Fan Dan", a character now primarily limited to Saturdays in the fall when the two go out, meet up with friends, and cheer for their Wolverines. In April of 2021, Maggie and Dan moved down to Florida. The two had experienced enough midwest winters for one lifetime. Don't ask them about their move. Don't do it. Soon after, the pair adopted Emma, their "definitely a retriever mix" puppy from the Tampa Humane Society (Donate&nbsp;here&nbsp;if you feel so obliged - https://humanesocietytampa.org). While walking the halls of loud, barking dogs at the shelter, one inched over from her corner and quietly put her paw through the fence to say hello just as Maggie was passing by. Unlike with Dan, it was love at first sight.&nbsp; Summer and Fall of 2021 were kind to the couple as they spent their time acclimating to their new home, visiting Michigan a few more times, and going on endless boat rides with Michael and his best friend George (and sometimes, but not that often, his daughter and one of Dan's longest held friends, Kiersten). July of 2022, it finally happened. Dan and Maggie went to dinner with two of their closest friends, Eric and Kelsey, and their daughter Lil' Rory. After a few glasses of sangria and a wonderful dinner, Dan asked Maggie if they could check out this new bar down the street that was Australia-themed. You see, Dan went there in college and refuses to put down the yearbook.&nbsp; After another few drinks, the couple went home, played with their ever-rambunctious pup, and oh yeah, ended up engaged just a few hours later.&nbsp; Dan and Maggie are so excited to start this next chapter in their life, and more importantly, to celebrate their love and the love of all their friends and family. They can't wait to see you!
