Planning Ahead

I'm an out of town guest, where should I stay?

The Keeneland Spring Meet for horse racing begins the first weekend of April in Lexington and hotels are already filling up fast! We highly recommend that you arrange where you stay as soon as you know you plan to attend.

What should I wear?

"Spring Black-Tie" means formal suits, jumpsuits, and/or longer dresses would be the most appropriate. Please note that our wedding colors are blues and greens (including floral patterns). We look forward to seeing our guests all dressed up and can't wait to see your personal style shine. But, most of all we want you to feel like your most picture-perfect self!

RSVP & Invitation Details

When are RSVPs due?

Please confirm your RSVP by March 5th, 2025 as we will be finalizing the guest count with our venue and vendors. We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to celebrating with you!

Do I get a +1?

Our venue has a maximum occupancy of 200. To accommodate all of our wonderful family and friends, your invitation will be addressed to indicate the number of seats planned for you.

Can I bring my kids?

This information will also be found on your invitation. For those attending with their family members, we ask that you plan your evening with the understanding that following dinner, the rest of the reception will be 18+ only.

Day-Of Details

Does the wedding venue have parking?

Our venue is located in downtown Lexington (on N Upper St) and unfortunately does not have designated parking. We ask that you plan to pay for parking downtown, carpool, or use a ride-share service (especially if you plan to have a drink or two).

What time should I arrive?

Given that our venue is on a one-way street, please plan accordingly as traffic downtown may be busier due to Keeneland events. We ask that guests find their seats 15-20 minutes before the ceremony begins.

Will there be food or should I eat before?

After our ceremony, appetizers will be available during Cocktail Hour, followed by a family-style dinner and a bar during the Reception.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place indoors. Harper Hall is a 2-story venue and we are planning to host the ceremony on the first floor, and then the cocktail hour and reception on the second floor.
