What is the weather like in Charleston?

Late March in Charleston brings mild spring weather. Expect days in the high-60s/low-70s and nights that dip into the mid-50s.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the wedding ceremony & reception is cocktail attire. We suggest men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear a dress or dressy separates. The reception is outside, so you may wish to bring an extra layer for the evening. For the welcome party on Friday, you are welcome to dress more casually. We suggest button-down shirts for men and sundresses or dressy separates for women.

Will there be transportation?

We will provide buses from the wedding ceremony to the reception and from the reception to the after party. For those who wish to drive, there is street parking near the church and a parking lot behind the Gadsden House off Alexander Street (across from Saffron Cafe).

Are children included in the wedding festivities?

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a weekend of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the wedding ceremony & reception. But please know that all are welcome on Friday!

What is “Old Hollywood” attire, and why are you making us dress up for karaoke?

Because it’s fun! According to Google AI, “Old Hollywood glamour is a style that evokes a sense of timeless elegance and sophistication.” Ladies, think sumptuous fabrics, gloves, furs, cigarette holders, and diamonds. Men, think Bing Crosby.
