Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Once upon a time, in the digital age of swipes and matches, a serendipitous encounter on Facebook Dating brought two souls together. Little did this couple know that a simple swipe would lead to a love story that would change their lives forever.

It all started on Facebook Dating - they swiped, they matched, and they chatted. Shortly after that, they exchanged phone numbers and started texting and talking on the phone. After their second phone call, Bryan asked Maggie on a real date - wherever she wanted and he’d pay (such a gentleman).

On August 6th, 2021, Maggie sent Bryan’s information to her best friend Taylor and told her that if she didn’t hear from her again, this random guy from the internet was the suspect. Maggie ended up not giving herself enough time to get ready and asked Bryan if they could meet 30 minutes later than originally planned. Bryan told her that was fine. What Bryan did not tell her was that he was actually 30 minutes early and already walking around the Kroger near the restaurant. So, when Maggie showed up to the Mexican restaurant, after Bryan had been there for an hour at this point, Maggie exited the car, already apologizing for asking to move the date later. And Bryan’s first words were, “Oh, wow! You’re tall!” Bryan had not paid very close attention to Maggie’s Facebook Dating profile.

After the date, Maggie called Taylor from the car and told her how amazing she thought Bryan was. Two months later, Bryan said “I love you” and Maggie said it back. A month after that, Maggie brought Bryan to her friend Michelle’s wedding and caught the bouquet. And God’s plan for the pair continued to fall into place.

Come August of 2022, Maggie suspected Bryan was close to proposing. With their anniversary coming on August 6th and her birthday coming on August 9th, she was not-so-secretly optimistic. But on Bryan’s end, he had the ring and couldn’t wait. On August 1st, Bryan picked Maggie up for a dinner date, and as soon as they got in the car, Bryan pulled out the ring box. Maggie, spotting the box, screamed, “Don’t do it in the car!” So, Bryan put the ring box back and they went to dinner (at Chili’s, if anyone was wondering). After dinner, Maggie had Bryan drive to a local park and Bryan proposed on a bridge over a river. And the first person Maggie told was Taylor. (Well, technically, the first person she told was Taylor’s husband, Austin, but close enough.)

This is only the beginning of Maggie and Bryan’s story - the rest and best are yet to come. May they continue to live their happily ever after.
