Matthew and Mai-Anh, two individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and birthplaces, found each other and knew it was love at first sight. Matthew, who rarely goes out to bars outside of New Albany, decided to meet up with friends where he met an outgoing Vietnamese-American girl. Mai-Anh, who was not expecting a suitor, met a handsome American boy with an irresistible smile. That night, they exchanged numbers, and the rest is history. Matthew and Mai-Anh taught each other valuable lessons. Mai-Anh learned from Matthew that it is ok for plans to go astray sometimes, always find time to stop and smell the roses, and that watching movies in bed while cuddling is one of life's most blissful luxuries. Matthew learned from Mai-Anh how to use the Reminders app on his iPhone, strange foods can sometimes taste delicious, and that (moderate) planning is good practice. Because of Matthew, Mai-Anh (who never cooked nor enjoyed cooking before meeting Matthew) loves to cook and has 17 cooking apps. Because of Mai-Anh, Matthew has become quite the handyman, even putting together a NordicTrack treadmill by himself. After four years of dating (and moving in together), Matthew proposed to Mai-Anh in their home. We are so excited to celebrate our love on our wedding day with our friends and families.
