Stanley and Maia met sometime towards the end of 2019. Maia worked at a coffee shop on Wright State University’s campus. Stanley would get coffee there sometimes with his friend. One time, while Maia was working, she sneezed and Stanley told her “bless you”. Maia told him thank you, and thought to herself how cute he was.

Months later, Stanley and Maia both found themselves on a dating app and recognized each other. They made small talk, and exchanged socials, but didn’t talk much after that. During April 2020, Maia and Stanley decided to play video games together online. Stanley joined Maia and her friends to play a few games one night. Since then, Stanley and Maia played video games together everyday for a few weeks. Eventually, they decided to hang out in person and soon started dating. They were long distance the summer of 2020 since they lived 3 hours apart, but still managed to see each other every few weeks.

Once they graduated, Maia got her own apartment, and Stanley moved in shortly after. In the summer of 2022, Stanley got a job that required relocating to Arizona. Stanley and Maia made the big decision to move across the country together with their 2 cats a few months later. 2 months after the big move, Stanley made the big decision to propose to Maia on a beautiful hike in Sedona, AZ.
