Our story begins in 2009, when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released. Claire's older brother, Mitchell, would play video games with Mikey and some other friends from high school on Xbox Live. When Claire was in middle school, she would get home early and play on the Xbox till he got home. This is where Mikey and Claire met.    After playing a couple of search and destroys, they both looked each other up on Facebook and became friends into high school. There was always something there, but the two remained friends and neighbors, passing by each other's cars in the neighborhood and seeing each other in Culinary at MDHS. They even texted for about a week during 2014, but nothing ever came out of it. All they were to each other was the neighbor who works at Chick-Fil-A and Mitchell's little sister.   Flash forward to 2016 when everything changed.   Warning: This love story is VERY millennial.   One evening, Claire stumbled upon Mikey's Instagram account. She noticed he was single and casually liked 3 of his photos because she thought he was cute and saw no harm in it. Mikey then instantly responded with liking 25+ photos of Claire, followed by a DM stating It takes 2 to tango. Confused, Claire countered back and began a conversation that would lead to them hanging out and watching Captain Phillips.   Mikey asked for Mitchell's permission to hang out with Claire and promised him there would be a 3 foot rule. Needless to say, the rule was broken very quickly, and a month later they had their very first official date on Valentine's Day at Maggiano's. Mikey brought her flowers and Mr. Bourne told him She's worth more to me than all the stars in the sky and all that that implies..  To this day, Mikey remembers this exact quote. Good work dad!   Over the next 5 years they made some amazing memories. Mikey and Claire spend most of their time eating Huey Magoos, going to metal concerts, caring for their bearded dragons, Jotaro and Boba, traveling to car shows, exploring plant shops, going shooting, and just being together. Over the years they truly have become best friends.   After 12 years of knowing each other and 5 years of loving each other, Mikey decided to seal the deal at one of Claire's favorite places, Fair Child Tropical Botanical Gardens in Miami, FL. He got down on one knee, opened the box upside down, the families surprised her, and they all celebrated together when she said YES!  It was a perfect day!   As their special day approaches on July 10th, 2021, Claire, Mikey, and family prepare excitedly to celebrate this new chapter in their lives!

Things to Do

Mariah and Claire met in Kindergarten at Blue Lake Academy.  Even though they have been long distance since 8th grade, the two never let a couple of states get between their friendship.

Marissa met Claire when she was 12 years old after she began dating her brother, Mitchell.  She is now officially her sister-in-law, and the two have grown closer than ever the past few years!

Austin and Mikey became friends through their friend Seth. He later moved in and became one of Mikey's roommates! 

Austin McClaren

Parker Oakes Anthony, 24, left this world on 10/31/19. Mikey met Parker back in high school and they always played video games together. Mikey was his roommate for many months. Living together, they made countless memories and loved having a good party. Parker was supposed to be apart of the wedding party. To honor his memory, his brother, Mason Anthony, will be wearing two boutonnieres. We miss you deeply Parker. We can't wait to see you again.
