It all began in October of 2019 when we were paired up for a project in our Group Dynamics class at Oakland University. We quickly became the best of friends—finding every excuse to “work on the project” when really, we just wanted to spend time together.

A month later, we decided to give our friendship a new title and made it official with a triple date: Ikea, Black Friday shopping, and a movie night. Over the years, we made our way through college, both graduating with bachelor’s degrees and growing even closer along the way.

With 45 minutes between us, we decided it was time to close the gap. We moved in together and adopted two cats to make our house feel like a home.

During a beach vacation in Florida, while searching for shark teeth before sunrise, Chase surprised Maicie by popping the question—and just like that, we were upgraded from dating to engaged!

We’re so thankful for the love and support we’ve received over the past five years. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you all—with a weekend full of fun, food, dancing, and drinks that we hope none of us will ever forget.
