Our Wedding

Our story began in 2018, at a startup I had founded with my father. At first, Dushan worked for us as a remote contractor in California, and I was in San Antonio at our main office. We officially met on a Zoom meeting, and I felt a pull towards him immediately. A few months later, my father made it a rule that all contractors needed to relocate to San Antonio, and so Dushan moved here. When I met him in person, there was an instant connection.After a while, our co-workers started having poker nights and get-togethers outside of work. Secretly, they were trying to push us together since we were both introverts and they knew we liked each other.One day our coworker, Bob, invited us and another co-worker, Aaron, to go hiking at a place called Enchanted Rock. This was our first time hanging out outside of work, and we spent the whole day getting to know each other. At the top of Enchanted Rock, we took our first photo together.This day was the catalyst that brought us closer, and eventually, on May 9th, 2019, after asking for my father’s blessing, Dushan asked me to officially be his girlfriend. We fell in love, and in 2022, Dushan proposed to me at the same place at the top of Enchanted Rock, where we took our first photo together.My father is very spiritual man and was compelled to create our startup based on a vision he received from God. I believe one of the reasons for that was to bring us together. Now that we have been united, we can't wait to get married and build a life together.

Gruene Hall, built in 1878, is Texas’ oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. By design, not much has physically changed since the Hall was first built. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden. Advertisement signs from the 1930s and 40s still hang in the old hall and around the stage.

The Natural Bridge Caverns are the largest known commercial caverns in the U.S. state of Texas. The name is derived from the 60 ft natural limestone slab bridge that spans the amphitheater setting of the cavern's entrance. The span was left suspended when a sinkhole collapsed below it.

Franklin Houser is the founder of Dry Comal Creek Vineyards. He purchased the property as a country family get away in the 1970's. When he retired from his law practice in the 1990's, he decided to turn his wine hobby into a business. In 2017, Mr. Houser was ready to retire from the wine business, and sold the vineyard to the Romero Family from Ft. Worth.Ralph Romero Sr. and his family quickly fell in love with the vineyard. Ralph was a first generation Mexican immigrant, and spent his summers on a family fruit farm learning English. His grandfather insisted he immigrate and live the "American dream." Purchasing the vineyard, and his beloved cows was just the whipped cream topping. Unfortunately, Ralph passed in January of 2021. The Romero Family continue to honor Ralph's legacy as a proud Texan. Dry Comal Creek is proud of our 100% Texas Grapes, and 100% Texas Wine.Seth Urbanek is our wine maker extraordinaire! He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge from Cornell, France, Australia, and the Finger Lakes. Seth is on the forefront of the exploding Texas Wine Culture. He has built great relationships with the best grape growers in our state, and that relationship shines through in our wines. Seth continues to dazzle us with new varietals and blends.
