Richard and Makayla's love story blossomed at Claflin University, where they met at a Labor Day Cookout in September 2018. Their connection deepened over shared memories of Beth El Temple Church of Christ. Makayla later joined Kingdom Life Ministries, discovering that Richard and their friends attended too. United by friendship, they journeyed through college, and in November 2020, Richard asked Makayla to be his girlfriend. Graduating in 2020 and 2021, they continued to savor life together. In June 2023, Richard proposed, and now, their love story culminates in a beautiful wedding on June 28, 2024.
