Our Story

It all started with a swipe! Makayla and Dakota swiped right in July of 2022 and the rest is history.

When Did The Couple Meet?

Following a long 7 hour flight from Orlando to Reykjavík, the couple spent their first hours in Iceland at the world famous Blue Lagoon. After relaxing in the hot geothermal spa, the couple wandered around the property and took pictures (like the one above). After taking in Iceland's beautiful landscape, Dakota got down on one knee and popped the question in the exact spot this picture was taken.

where did he pop the question?

Yes they do! Makayla and Dakota adopted Luna (right) in December of 2023. Luna is a crazy kitty, so the couple decided to adopt Sgt. Pepper (left) in May of 2024 to keep her company.

does the couple have any furry friends that are not able to attend?

Situated under gorgeous Spanish moss and oak trees is our ceremony space. The ceremony begins promptly at 3:30PM, please arrive with enough time to park, mingle, and find your seats.

Following cocktail hour, our reception will be held in the Boathouse from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Make sure to stick around until the end as we have a fun sparkler send off!
