Our love story began over 20 years ago. We were in the same kindergarten class together. According to Josh, he knew pretty quickly that I was the woman for him and we dated for 3 days in kindergarten. The details are a little fuzzy as to what happened to cause the breakup because my account is I don't even remember him at all! Nevertheless, the seeds of a "puppy love" would eventually grow into a full-bloom love story several years later.

After kindergarten, we both left to attend different schools in different cities. It wouldn't be until high school that we would reconnect. We both attended a high school basketball game and apparently, I caught his eye at the game. When I left the gym to go home, Josh chased me down the hallway to introduce himself and ask for my phone number. Over the years we texted, talked on the phone, and even took car rides to talk occasionally only as friends. Soon after our high school graduations, we both moved to different cities and tried to find our own path in life.

During a break from school, I came back home and ran into Josh at Firehouse Subs. We reconnected again and occasionally went out for dates to eat, shop, etc. whenever I was home. I think we both felt that seed trying to grow, but it never received enough water to fully blossom. Once we stopped masking our true feelings for one another we could no longer hide how we felt about each other. It was not only evident to us that we had something special, but also to others who witnessed us together. It was eventually confirmed through prayer and spending time with God that we were destined to be together.

So that tiny seed planted almost 20 years ago in kindergarten has grown into a beautiful flower and we can't wait to say our vows before God and in front of all of you.
