Our Wedding

Our story began as two college kids in the same city but at different schools. So close together yet so far from where we are now. We met like all people meet these days, the internet. Makayla followed me on Instagram in August of 2021 and then sent me a DM (direct message) that same November because her friends peer-pressured her into it. Fast forward to December 9th, we went on our first date and planned to go see a movie that she thought was Spiderman but was actually Venom Carnage. Two days prior to our first date, I had gotten the worst haircut of my life that was practically cut to a buzz due to a mistake by my barber. It was a pretty awesome thing to happen before my first date with the prettiest girl ever born. When we finally met for the first time, I was a nervous wreck but so was she which made me feel way less nervous despite my fresh buzz cut. She was so precious and I still remember seeing her for the first time as she approached the bench I was waiting for her on. We went into the movie 30 minutes early and got the chance to know each other on a deeper level. Our conversation flowed so effortlessly and naturally like it was meant to be. Many laughs were shared and it was such a great time (even though she hated the movie which of course she didn't tell me until now). I then went home for Christmas break and we didn't have a second date until January 9th but from there, the rest was history. I told her that I loved her on our third date because I just knew. She was very weirded out by that due to the suddenness but hey, it worked out pretty great regardless. We've been dating for over 3 years and when I knelt down on one knee to ask her to marry me, she didn't say no, so we are now engaged! I wouldn't trade anything on our journey to this point and I wouldn't want it to be with anybody else. I love you pickle.net - Fischer
