Ben and Makayla met at a youth Christmas party at church. This was Makayla's first time at this church and Ben, not being one to introduce himself to girls, came right up to Makayla and gave her .. a good old handshake. If you know Ben, you know that is so something he would do.

They had heard about each other a little bit prior to their first encounter with the help of some “wingmen”. Two very important people in both of their lives.

At the end of that Christmas Party, Makayla was walking out and she waved at Ben and said “Bye Ben it was nice to meet you” , and Ben still says to this day that that’s when he knew he wanted to be with her. So shortly after, (with the help of a mediator) they exchanged numbers and haven’t stopped talking to each other since.

They will be the first to tell you that their 4 years of dating was nothing easy. They met at a young age and had a lot of growing up to do to be where they are now. They believe God is who put them together and God will be the foundation for their relationship for every step of the way.
