In March of 2021, both Nick and Makayla were mindlessly swiping on tinder when Makayla came across a picture of the cutest boy ever..... Axe. With Makayla's obvious love for dogs she swiped right not knowing Nick would swipe right as well. Coincidentally, Makayla came across Nick's second Tinder account which they ended up matching on both. After a month (April 2021) of just having a streak on Snapchat, they finally decided to have a first date. They decided to have a walk in the park (with Axe of course) which involved awkward silence and ending with Axe throwing up on Makaylas foot. After the date ended, both Nick and Makayla were set on ghosting each other.

But one day Makayla got off work, went home alone, and after a bit of liquid courage asked Nick to hang out. Something magical happened because a month later (May 2021) they made it official and have been inseparable since. Makayla then moved in with Nick in April of 2023, and they recently bought a house in July of 2024.

In August 2024, Nick had a game plan (with the help of others) to finally pop the question on a cruise that Makayla thought was to celebrate Nick's birthday with his parents. As they are attending a show, they get called on stage to participate in a game where Makayla had to dance and Nick had to shake his ass off. Nick, feeling himself, asked Franco (the director) if he could do something before they got off stage. Franco was so oblivious he said no, but Nick went ahead and popped the question in front of a bunch of strangers who couldn't understand him because Nick and Makayla were sobbing with joy.

Coming back home on such a high being engaged, they also became fur parents in October 2024. They welcomed Oakley and Milo into their lives and are excited to start their journey together forever.
