Our Wedding

How it Began..

It was the summer before our first year together at UCM. Both of us shared a passion for basketball, which took us across the country to pursue our college careers. Little did we know, God had a plan for us, even when we hadn’t figured it out yet. We met while working summer camps in 2021. As the fall semester of that year began, our paths crossed once again, and we spent more time together throughout the year. On February 1st, 2022, we decided to make things official and started dating. Since that day, we've been inseparable, and we thank God every day for bringing together a girl from Farmington, Arkansas, and a boy from Monticello, Minnesota. On December 9th, 2024, we got engaged! Though we come from different parts of the country, we truly believe that no one else is more perfect for each other than us. We are beyond excited and blessed to embark on this new chapter of our lives, learning and growing together!

What's Next..

Makenna teaches middle school and high school health and physical education at Big Lake Schools in Minnesota, while Matt runs his own contracting company, working throughout central Minnesota. They will be settling in the Monticello area, where they will begin their life together!
