Jack likes to tell everyone that we have been connected by an invisible string…

Here is how Jack likes to tell the story. Technically we have known each other since 2016, when we were both lifeguards at the Y. While we were there we did not get the opportunity to connect. Fast forward to August of 2022 when we both decided to be Rays fans for the day and join our besties Kathryn and Kobe (& Gigi!) at a Tampa Bay Rays game. This is when Jack would say that his interest was piqued by her quiet confidence and subtle charm. We’re not going to tell you every detail, but since we’ve started dating we have discovered a ton of little things that have tied us together since our time at the Y.

Now for the good stuff. December 2022 prior mentioned best friend Kathryn graduates from UF(yay🥳). There was a party thrown to celebrate and Kobe invited me. Games were played, competitiveness was tested, and feelings were caught. Kobe was moving soon so there were always group hangouts that Jack was making sure Makenzie was invited to so he could see her again. After Christmas, I made the bold move to slide into Makenzie’s DM’s where I waited THREE WHOLE DAYS for her to respond because she did not have notifications turned on. Those 72 hours were filled with panic and terror because I thought every time we had hung out things went great. Thankfully, she replied and we went on our first date the next night. Before the second date occurred there were already plans for the third date and that’s when I knew I would be making things official. We have since spent almost every single day together making memories and laughing along the way! Stay tuned for the next episode.
